How has the work we have done this semester raised questions for you about what to expect in your future field of study?

This semester through English 1301 raised a few questions about my future field of study as a nursing major. I questioned what type of writing was involved once I got into nursing school. I also question what type of discourse community it was and the motto/mission statement it went by.   

Has the work we have done in this class helped you to identify or explore any questions or concerns about what you will encounter in the next steps of your education? How?

English 1301 was able to answer all the questions I gained while I spent my time in class. Most of them were answered during the discourse community project where we compare a community we participated in through high school to one we will soon be entering in college.

What kinds of application can you envision for the thinking and writing you have done in the course?`

The writing completed in the course of English 1301 has prepared me for the writing I will do in nursing school and the thinking skills that will be applied. It has also prepared me for future applications for different types of employment and the reports that will be completed as part of my tasks.
